The Premier 20 Leadership Conference, conducted by the Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliates Youth Education in Agriculture committee, was held at Illinois Farm Bureau on April 17-18, 2019. Alexander Ford of DuPage County was selected to attend this conference as a winner of the Illinois 4-H Leadership, Citizenship, Professionalism (LCP) Award.

The Illinois 4-H Premier LCP award program rewards members exhibiting outstanding leadership, citizenship, cooperation, and professionalism during the past 4-H program year.

Twenty of the top Illinois 4-H and FFA members are invited to this intense leadership training conference to further their professional and personal development. This two-day conference featured an Effective Communication & Leadership session, StrengthsFinder workshop, and sessions with representatives from Illinois Farm Bureau and its affiliate companies on topics such as networking, managing finances, and understanding and dealing with diversity. As leadership and service go hand in hand, students also volunteered their time packaging meals at Midwest Food Bank. This conference presents a way to further the bond between the 4-H and FFA organizations, while providing students exceptional growth opportunities.
The Premier 20 Leadership Conference is sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau, GROWMARK, Inc., COUNTRY Financial, Prairie Farms Dairy, and the IAA Credit Union.
